Marriage and relationship education classes are designed to give people skills they need to build strong, permanent marriages, or to strengthen existing non-marital relationships.

These skills do not seek to replace traditional therapy for people who need it. But most people do not need psychotherapy to deal with their problems. Most people need help in a few areas and research over the past 20 years has clearly demonstrated that relationships can be strengthened and problems resolved with the help of skillsbuilding classes.
